I currently have four pages of Equinox in the rough.

Horrorscape one is about four pages, too.

Horrorscape II is three or four (I can't remember), and I'm still fighting with it. But it's getting there. And I know what's going to happen. You get your long-awaited death in this chapter! Woo hoo! Death and sex. :O

I also have posted a new story called Letters to Christopher. This story is basically high school drama, but with a twist. I'm tired of seeing those semi-loner sarcastic girls that have one really outgoing friend that always fights for them. THIS girl knows what it's like to be alone, with nobody rooting you on but yourself-- and, in her case, sometimes not even that. I know that probably sounds depressing and it IS a depressing story and will dwell heavily in schoolyard bullying and hazing, but I recommend it. (:

I've been reading a lot. That's probably why I've gotten inspired. <3

P.S. Thanks for all the feedback on my new story. I figured a lot of people would have been cheesed off at my hiatus, but you came back and I'm very grateful. You guys rock!

I have not vanished into the Bermuda triangle, into some interstellar dimension with beings resembling those of a certain K.A. Applegate series.

I have been incredibly busy. I'm currently taking a summer course-- a math course, god help me-- and I am slowly but surely developing a social life, even if it is a bit primordial in nature. I have been struck down with the meanest case of writer's block I've ever had since I first started writing Jaded two and a half years ago. The kind where you open the document and stare at what you've written, adding a few sentences here or there, but being unable to further develop the plotline. That kind.

So I've been reading like crazy instead. And it's worked.

I now have an idea for how I want the next chapter of the first Horrorscape to go.

Jaded has also been half-finished, although I hate it and want to delete the series and start over from scratch.

My reviewers would probably kill me, though.

I know I've been recieving  a lot of reviews and PMs, some nicer than others, and I'm sorry if I'm not updating the story of your choice, but I'd rather update what I want to, than force myself to work on something I am uninspired for. Please understand that I am not a high school student. I have a lot going on in my life-- less so than most-- but this is the crossroads between adolescence and adulthood and I've got to start making some serious decisions. Writing doesn't come up to par, in most of these cases.

Anyway, the point of this rant is that I am planning on updating something. Anything. Soon.

Luverly.
I don't know why but I've gotten a ton of amazing feedback on FP in the last two weeks. I'm touched and, at the same time, I feel guilty  because I haven't updated anything in a long time. I only have one more final left and everything else in my life is going swimmingly for once, so I'm going to work on my stories right now.

Yes, that's right. You heard me. Stories. ALL OF THEM.

I'll try to post something by this weekend.

I'm really lucky to have such great, supportive readers, so thank you so much! Really. I love you guys. (:

I started working on the next chapter of Equinox. You'll meet a familiar monster from Hercules' challenges.

Also started:
-Chapter 16 of HSII (rewrite) (it's about 3 pages)
-Chapter 8 of HS (one paragraph)

Ugh. This is going so SLOWLY.

I've gotten so many GM pictures I'm going to start an archive and post it on my FP profile along with the actors' names. So you can expect that in a few days. (:.

I worked on Jaded today, along with HSII. Progress is still very slow, but I hope to update sometime in June.

I know it's been weeks since the last updates and I'm very sorry. As soon as I get inspired, I will post an update. (:

Major props to my wonderful beta, SamanthaNicole, for helping me with chapter seven of HSI.

Oh, man. I accidentally deleted all the songs in my ipod the other day. Luckily, I managed to recover them all. It turns out that iTunes keeps all the m4as in a folder, so you can import the songs back into your iTunes player even if you delete them from the list. But you have to recover them all from the Recycling Bin first. I nearly had a panic attack. I have like $50 worth of songs on there--

I have sent chapter seven to my beta. Yaaaay! This is so exciting.

I am so thrilled. I finished my oral report today in Oceanography-- and usually, when it comes to oral reports I am teh suck. My hands were shaking a little as I read off the cue cards, but I didn't stumble or stammer like I usually do.

God. I can't wait 'til school's over. Next week I have a final a day. Does that suck? Oh, yes. Yes it does.

I accidentally drank a glass of milk, which is a mistake as it turns out I AM lactose intolerant and got the stomachache of the century because of it. THEN I fell back asleep and didn't wake up until about half an hour before I had to be at school. I haven't eaten anything all day. I am SOOOOOO hungry. D:

But dinner is on the way!

The Cast of HS

I realized that I had a character list up for the sequel but not for the original. Gack. How confusing. :C

The Black Players:

Valerian Kimble: The protagonist. 5'8". Long red hair, green eyes, freckles. Her mother is a social climber and her father is a business man. They are both overprotective-- especially when it comes to boys-- because of a troubling incident that occurred during Val's frosh year. Not as big of a pushover as everyone seems to think she is. Cares a lot about her friends.

James Lewis: Val's boyfriend. Very moody and quick to anger. When he's in high spirits, he tends to be annoying, loud, and obnoxious. It's been hinted that he's somewhat of a player. 6'0". Dark brown hair and seafoam green eyes.

Lisa Aubrette: Valerian's somewhat ditzy best friend. 5'6". Shoulder-length blond hair, brown eyes. She means well, but she's also very shallow, vain, and self-centered. Typically wears a lot of makeup.

Blake Matthews: One of James' friends. They met in a computer programming class. He's big on video games, computers, and pretty smart. Knows a little about chess because his dad plays. 5'8". Short, messy brown hair and hazel eyes (hidden behind glasses).

The White Players:

Charlie: 5'4". Long dark brown hair, blue eyes. Round doll-like face. Very pretty, but also somewhat of a bitch. Likes GM and flirts with him every chance she can get, but her love appears to be unrequited. Resents Val.

Brent: 5'10, heavy build, like someone on a football team. Not that bright. Brown eyes, medium brown hair. Doesn't really appear to have much of a personality. Most people, including his teammates, just ignore him. Poor Brent. :C

Jason: 6'1", angular face, blue eyes, blond hair. Likes to write horror stories. Seems to have a crush on Lisa, also unrequited.

The Grandmaster(?)

GM: Stands at 6'3", black hair, gray eyes. Very, very pale. Appears to like flowers, chess, and Val-- although his intentions at this point are largely unknown.

I've grown more lenient in terms of pictures. I drawn the line at GM. While I LOVE it when people send me images of hot men they picture GM as (HORMONALSQUEAL), I do not wish to ruin your mental image. However, with the less important characters, having pictures helps me keep them straight (which is well hard to do when you've got 2343 other things on your mind).

SO THE PICTURES:

Jason <---LMAO

Meh. He's the only one so far. I haven't found anyone bitchy-looking enough to be Charlie or ordinary enough to be Val. I am constantly looking, though. :|

And no one will ever be able to rival GM's sexiness. Ha ha ha. *has no life*

OH! I almost forgot...

I'm almost done with chapter 7!! I have to study for my presentation I'm giving, so on Thursday I'll probably send it to my beta. I'll post it after I make the necessary corrections-- so expect an update within the next week or so! Woot!

I am currently working on chapter seven of HS!!

It's currently only 541 words. I hope to have at least 3,000 this time. I'm so excited for this chapter because when I started it last night I was beginning to regret the additional scene and lost my notes for the story (I'm cleaning my room right now, so my papers are freefloating). Oh man, I strongly recommend taking notes for your story. It has made my life so much easier-- especially in sequential stories like Horrorscape where you can cross of things that have already happened as you go along.

The chapter will probably be called "Quiet Move".

Jason gets to show us all what a manipulative bastard he can be. Ha ha.

(I have this strange vision of Jason as Draco Malfoy)

Also, thanks to everyone who gave me support RE: the beta entry. I found one. So... yay! It'll be nice to get somebody else's input.

edit//: Ha! I boosted the word count up to 1,159 words! Yes! Almost halfway there!

edit//: 1,526 words. UGH. This is killing me, writing these new scenes from scratch. I CAN'T wait until this round is over so I can go right back to formula. Unfortunately, these new scenes are crucial in pointing out the relationships between the characters. Some of them just started hating (or liking) each other for no specific reason other than-- ta da!-- IT FELT RIGHT IN MY HEAD.

And oh-my-god. My mom bought me a copy of The Host by Stephenie Meyer, which is what I shall be reading once I finish the 3234323 other books on my reading list. I'm currently reading Room With a View, and the stupid Miss Honeychurch character reminds me of fricken Maud Flanders.

Beta?
I've noticed a scary increase in the number of typos per chapter. So, I was wondering if any of you would be interested in betaing for me. The upside is, you get to find out what happens before anyone else does. The bad side is, you know, grammar issues. I'm looking for somebody who has a fairly decent knowledge of the English language, who is a grammar nazi, and might possibly point out any weak or OOC moments plot-wise ('Cause I seem to be blind to these things).

Anyway, are any of you interested? :O

What's going down, clown.
Chapter six of HS is now posted. This chapter took FOUR drafts because it's been a while since my last update *cough* and I got thrown out of the loop. I was hoping that it would be longer. Since I type with Sylfaen, the chapters are almost always a page longer than they would be in Times New Roman, so what comes off as seven pages in my trusty Open Office is only five pages on FP.

I have several story ideas going through my mind. One would involve a high school girl dealing with abuse from her peers, another would be a about a (benign) stalker, and another would be about an extremely dysfunctional girl (and I mean serious WTFuckery) who becomes obsessed with tormenting her annoying adversary. Any of those ideas sound particularly interesting?

I probably wouldn't start on them for a while, though. Not until I finish the two Horrorscapes. I've learned my lesson there. A_A

Ah, yes. And Chapter Sixteen of HSII is almost six pages long, if I remember correctly. I'm working really, really hard on this one because I want to make it good. LOL. I'm such a nerd. I actually researched it. And found out some things I didn't really want to know about in the process.

Oh, and you may or may not have noticed that I upped the rating to M. That's because this next chapter will feature some rather exciting developments. The title will be called 'Tuberose'. Look up the definition in TLOF and you'll see what I mean. ;D

I am in the process of working on chapter 7 of HS(I). There will be new scenes in this version, as I have mentioned before, and this is where the changes will start to become clear. I have added a new challenge a la scavenger hunt-- except this particular scavenger hunt carries a particularly sinister message that foreshadows the impending violence and doom. YAY! VIOLENCE!! DOOOOOM!!!

I'm curious. After sixteen (deleted) chapters and a sequel, how do you guys see GM? (Please feel free to include pictures, diagrams, and bar graphs along with your written explanation). ;D

OK. Well, I've posted what I have for chapter 15. It came out rushed and threadbare in some places but I didn't want to make you guys wait any longer. D:

Any typos are due to the fact that I wrote most of this around 1am.

Here is a girl that looks kinda like Val. Click click.

I've yet to find an Italian stallion on par with GM. He is too sexay. D:

This guy is incredibly hot though. I found him by accident. Man! I effing HATE being single.

My stories have not gone to that huge, dilapidated library underground. They are just resting... like Dracula.

I have been SO BUSY WITH COLLEGE.

My paper is tormenting me by being a page shy of the ten pages I need, which is bloody-freaking-annoying because I need IT DONE NOW!! I don't want to add on to it any more and I've already switched from Times New Roman to Arial, because Arial makes it look bigger.

Yes, even college students cheat. We're just so much more crafty about it. >:D

Most of my other papers are finished, TG. I also got another A on my midterm. *sw00n*

And I got to spend most of yesterday flirting with this absolutely adorable guy. <33 Squee.

The downside is that I am completely blocked. I tried to write HS and it went over very badly. I'm just not motivated right now. I am trying, but I don't want to post a bunch of shit because that would be bad (and trust me, this is bad. I say that a lot, but this is really, really bad).

I need a hug. Or a muse. Or a big glass of chamomile tea. All of the above, pl0x?

The upside is, I have about two weeks until I get out of school. FREEDOM!

I am le tired.
There probably won't be any updates for a while. I am VERY, VERY busy right now. I have my SECOND midterm for my science class (hell's bells) and two essays due next week, another one the week after that, and then another one after that. Plus, more tests. TESTS. Gack.

I haven't really felt like writing. Like, I have five pages of the next Jaded chapter and it just feels disjointed and shitty.

[PMS-inspired rant goes here]

Which actually kind of says a lot.

Oh, ew. These creepy guys honked at me today and said, "Hey, baby. How much for a good time?"

So CREEPY. D:

Why do only guys do this? I mean, when was the last time you saw a girl honking at a hot guy and saying, "Hey studmuffin, how much?" Not as a joke, either.
