I wish I were sine² and you were cosine²

shiina_nozumo suggested that I make a character list, and I thought that was a really neat idea, so here we go:

Valerian Kimble: Our rather troubled protagonist. Stands about 5'8", shoulder-length auburn hair that was bright red when she was younger, green eyes, a few freckles. Pale. She is a Psychology major. Her mother is a social climber and her father is a business man. In high school she was put on watch by the school because she was constantly receiving threatening phone calls from people that blamed her for the murder of her boyfriend, James Lewis.

Marianne "Mary" Fox: Valerian's somewhat ditzy roommate and best friend at the moment. She's 5'6" with short black hair and dark brown eyes. She is black, but her ancestors are from Jamaica NOT Africa. She is "friends" with Alex, and it is quite possible that she is sleeping with him, although the two of them are not officially going out. Is worried about Val and wants her to be happy, but frequently is too meddlesome for her own good.

Alex Crawford: Mary's FWB. Blond hair, blue eyes, his left ear is pierced. He's a flat 6' and pretty full of himself. He thinks Mary needs to mind her own business. "Borrows" things from the AV club. Especially TVs and Hitchcock movies.

Jaden "Jade" Monroe: 5'11". Bright red hair. Green eyes. Latin buff. He is a friend of Alex's. His parents are both Latin professors and have an affinity for freaky Latin names. Not much is known about him at this point.

Gavin Mecozzi (a.k.a. GM): A surefire BAMF if there ever was one. Stands at 6'3", black hair, gray eyes. Very, very pale. He's a quarter Italian, which accounts for his odd last name. In the original HS he reveals that his last name comes from the Latin word for 'master'. Is obsessed with flowers, chess, and Val. He came from a wealthy family, but his current area of residence is unknown. May have even more names than he's letting on.

Kira Lockhart: Val's seatmate in Abnormal Psychology. Brown hair, blue eyes. 5'4".

Vance Benveniste: Stands at 6'1". Dark brown hair, blue eyes. Went to the same high school as Alex. Is going to the local community college in the same town. Has his own apartment in California, so he's obviously doing pretty well for himself (dig those high property taxes). Not much about him is known at this point.

Note: I will not be posting pictures of the characters because I don't want to ruin the images in your head. However, you're welcome to look for images on your own. In fact, I'd be interested to see what you can come up with-- just no emos, please.
