I am currently working on chapter seven of HS!!

It's currently only 541 words. I hope to have at least 3,000 this time. I'm so excited for this chapter because when I started it last night I was beginning to regret the additional scene and lost my notes for the story (I'm cleaning my room right now, so my papers are freefloating). Oh man, I strongly recommend taking notes for your story. It has made my life so much easier-- especially in sequential stories like Horrorscape where you can cross of things that have already happened as you go along.

The chapter will probably be called "Quiet Move".

Jason gets to show us all what a manipulative bastard he can be. Ha ha.

(I have this strange vision of Jason as Draco Malfoy)

Also, thanks to everyone who gave me support RE: the beta entry. I found one. So... yay! It'll be nice to get somebody else's input.

edit//: Ha! I boosted the word count up to 1,159 words! Yes! Almost halfway there!

edit//: 1,526 words. UGH. This is killing me, writing these new scenes from scratch. I CAN'T wait until this round is over so I can go right back to formula. Unfortunately, these new scenes are crucial in pointing out the relationships between the characters. Some of them just started hating (or liking) each other for no specific reason other than-- ta da!-- IT FELT RIGHT IN MY HEAD.

And oh-my-god. My mom bought me a copy of The Host by Stephenie Meyer, which is what I shall be reading once I finish the 3234323 other books on my reading list. I'm currently reading Room With a View, and the stupid Miss Honeychurch character reminds me of fricken Maud Flanders.

First of all, I totally sympathize. I've been working on a MASSIVE (I'm talking, almost completely rewriting the story) of my first novel, and it's way more work than I anticipated. You have to go through and re-read the original, pick out what you want to re-use, what needs to be edited, and what should be thrown away. THEN you have to go and write all new material linking together what you decided was important to keep, and it's like a gigantic puzzle that seems pretty impossible to put together at times.

As for The Host, my copy is in the mail! Unfortunately, I don't get it until my birthday in two weeks, and I have a feeling I won't get around to reading it until August, when summer classes are done. I've got a bunch of other stuff I need to read, too, but school takes priority. Unfortunately.

Exactly! But the finished product is so totally worth it. C:

Wheee. Her books go by so fast, too. I stayed up until 3am finishing Eclipse. And Breaking Dawn comes out 4 days before my birthday. Are you excited for the Twilight movie? DECEMBER IS SO FAR AWAY. Noooo. D:
